For users in the EU/EEA/UK, our legal bases include consent, contract, legal obligations, and legitimate interests (e.g., program administration, security, supporter engagement). We balance our interests against your rights and expectations.
5) How We Share Information
We share information only as needed and with safeguards:
- Service providers/processors: hosting, analytics, email delivery, payment processing, event platforms, CRM, application review tools—bound by contract to use data only on our instructions.
- Application reviewers/selection committees: limited access to relevant application data under confidentiality obligations.
- Partners: if you opt in to share with a partner program or opportunity, we will disclose accordingly.
- Legal & safety: to comply with law or valid legal process; to protect you, us, or others from harm; or in connection with organizational changes (e.g., restructuring).
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross‑context behavioral advertising as defined by certain U.S. state privacy laws. If this changes, we will update this Policy and provide required notices and opt‑out mechanisms.
6) Donor Privacy
We respect the privacy of our donors. We use donor information to process gifts, issue receipts, recognize contributions (if you consent), and communicate impact. We do not sell or trade donor lists. Public recognition will be consistent with your preferences (e.g., anonymous giving).
7) Your Rights & Choices

U.S. state privacy rights (e.g., CA, CO, CT, UT, VA): You may have rights to know, access, correct, delete, and obtain information about our data practices. If we ever engage in activities defined as a “sale” or “sharing,” you will have the right to opt out. You will not be discriminated against for exercising your rights.

9) Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, to comply with legal, accounting, or reporting obligations, and to resolve disputes. We use criteria such as the nature of the data, the length of our relationship, and legal requirements to determine retention periods.
